Vintage Royal Doulton Pied Piper Character Jug c1950s D6403

This is an exquisitely modelled Royal Doulton Character Jug entitled "Pied Piper" D6403. This was designed by Geoff Blower in 1953 and issued until 1981. This character jug showcases the fairy tale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin and how, when he played his flute, the rats would follow him. 
The jug is in very good condition. It measures approx 15.5cm tall x approx 22cm across. Has the maker’s mark for Royal Doulton and the model D6403 to the base.
